Complete AUTOSAR tools chain

2 September, 2010

The ArcCore team will soon launch a new set of innovative products that – together with ArcCores current set of efficient and easy-to-use tools – add substantial benefits for developers of AUTOSAR ECUs. The up-coming official release of the new tools enables ArcCore to provide a cost efficient embedded development tool chain for the development of automotive ECUs fully utilizing the benefits of the AUTOSAR standard. The new products are integrated in the Arctic Studio platform and make full use of the benefits of the open platform Eclipse and the AUTOSAR promoted Artop framework. As the current ArcCore product BSW Builder, the new products will be provided as commercial plug-ins to Arctic Studio:

  • The SWC Builder is an editor to create software components (SWCs). The editor features smart selection, validation and common workflow actions.
  • The Extract Builder is tailored to support developers who use model-based application development tools and developers of SWC to integrate SWCs and connections between SWC and generate an ECU Extract.
  • The RTE Builder provides an editor to configure an AUTOSAR RTE. The editor features validation, task to runnable mapping and generation of OS objects. The RTE Builder also includes a code generator to generate the RTE.

Beta versions of the new products are available and currently used by a number of early users providing valuable feed-back to the ArcCore team for the final tuning of the products to the first official release. The ArcCore team invites a few more experienced users to participate in the final validation program before the official release in mid September, contact ArcCore to apply for Beta versions.
