A new version of Arctic Studio is release – v1.2. The new release contains improvements and bug fixes and we recommend all users to update!
New stuff at a glance:
- Arctic Studio Core Builder – We have introduced a grouping of toolchains, Mercurial Eclipse, and templates into a new feature, the Core Builder. Although no major new functionality is added, it enables us to provide updates and additions for Arctic Studio easier.
- Arctic Studio IDE – by introducing the Arctic Studio Core Builder we also simplify the update of the Arctic Studio IDE, the Eclipse framework.
- The “Empty Toolchain”. This toolchain is designed to be used with Arctic Core source code projects. It resolves a compile problem that some users have had when trying to build the source code project directly (not the correct way).
- Mercurial Eclipse version 1.5. The new version includes many fixes and improvements. See the mercurial eclipse release log for more details.
- Deactivated the ‘Build Automatically’ option by default. This option is not very usable in a C environment, and caused build problems for some users.
When updating to Arctic Studio v1.2 projects created by earlier versions of Arctic Studio needs to be updated in order to work. Read more about migrating here.
