Continued fast growth and challenging plans for 2011

Monday, 20 December, 2010

The ArcCore team is excited over the rapid growth of the number of users of our products! When we add the number of downloads of the commercial licensed and the Open Source licensed AUTOSAR embedded platform together we have a total of more than 5200 downloads since we launched our products for just over a year ago!

We are proud to be selected by a rapidly growing number of customers for the use of our commercial licensed products – both the Arctic Core Pro embedded platform and the commercial tools plugins to Arctic Studio – and our expert services. Today we have customers both in Europe and in Asia and we continue to expand our commercial offerings.

The Arctic Core and Arctic Studio products, available today, supports AUTOSAR 3.1 and we have already initiated development programs to be able to support AUTOSAR 4. These development programs are in close cooperation with major customers as partners. Collaboration with experienced and advanced partners helps us to focus and adds significant benefits for our partners as they will have access to products that are tailored to suite their own development programs.

During 2011 we will add even more resources to our programs and we invite new partners to join. To facilitate this we plan to launch a new community – opened exclusively to our partners. Here we will be able to tailor our products in an efficient and fast way to suite our partners needs. We will continue to promote our devotion to openness and to open standards. If you are interested to learn more about the new community and the benefits of participate get in touch with us!

A successful first year

Thursday, 9 September, 2010

Today the ArcCore team summarizes a tremendously successful first year since the initial launch of the Arctic Core  – the open source automotive embedded platform based on AUTOSAR – and the first release of Arctic Studio – the complete IDE for efficient and easy embedded development of  AUTOSAR systems.

The world-wide interest for our initiative exceeds all our expectations and we have registered more than 3900 downloads of Arctic Core from all over the world already the first year! All the positive feed-back, the proposals for further development and the contributions we have received from the rapidly growing community have ensured us that our initiative is right and that the automotive developers community acknowledge the benefits of collaborating.

Our business model of also offering commercial products – Arctic Core Pro and the commercial plug-ins to Arctic Studio – as the professional alternative to the Open Source distribution is endorsed by our users and we have been invited to participate in a number of development projects based on our commercial products and our expert knowledge.

The successful first year makes the ArcCore team even more committed to continue our devoted work to support the automotive developer’s community. We will launch a number of new and innovative products the coming year that will make development of AUTOSAR embedded systems even more efficient and easy. In a first step we will soon be able to release our new commercial tools – the SWC Builder, the Extract Builder and the RTE Builder.

Continue to stay tuned to the ArcCore website and you will be able to benefit from our high pace in development and our continued launch of state-of-art products!

Community continues rapid growth

Tuesday, 18 May, 2010

The Arctic Core community – the Open Source automotive embedded platform based on AUTOSAR – continues to grow rapidly and we have registered more than 2500 downloads in just eight months!

In the next two months we plan to release additional improvements to Arctic Core including support for Diagnostics (already available in the _arc_ repository) and Network Management. These releases will also be supported by new versions of BSW Builder – the professional plug-in to Arctic Studio for easy and efficient configuration of Arctic Core.

Later this summer ArcCore plans to release three new professional plug-ins to Arctic Studio including the RTE Builder, the SW-C Builder and the System Browser. Refer to our Arctic Studio roadmap found here for more details.

The ArcCore Tech Team appreciate feed-back from the community and ask you to continue send us your comments. If you wish to contribute to the Arctic Core Open Source project, refer to our contribution page in our wiki (found here)
